Recently widowed caterer Mrs. Sidhu juggles her business with encouraging her son Tez (Singh) to find his passion, all while solving crimes in Berkshire.

Her sleuthing turns into an unofficial partnership with dour DCI Burton, who reluctantly accepts that together they make the perfect pairing to fight crime.
